Board Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Nurse Practitioner

Ryan is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the sexual health field since 2000, and has been exclusively practicing gynecology since 2007. Her areas of interest include preventive health care, adolescent & young adult health, menstrual problems, contraceptive management, sexually transmitted infections, vulvovaginal concerns, and menopause. She is passionate about women’s health and places emphasis on patient centered care that is holistic, collaborative, and comprehensive in nature. Ryan is originally from Montana where she completed her undergraduate work and a Master’s degree in Community Health, specializing in Health Promotion/Health Education and Sexual Health. She then earned a Master of Nursing degree from Simmons College in Boston. She distinguished herself with multiple academic honors and awards.

Before joining VTGyn, Ryan spent the prior several years as the lead provider for Women’s Health at the UVM Student Health Clinic as well as teaching in the UVM Nursing Department. Her memberships include the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, and the North American Menopause Society.

Ryan lives in Charlotte, VT with her husband and two young boys. She enjoys hiking, gardening, fly fishing, cooking, chasing her children around the yard and sharing delicious meals with her friends and loving, supportive, large extended family.
